WALT: clarify unknown words when we read

Success Criteria:
  • stop
  • ask someone for help (like an adult)
I can't say the word...
  • sound it out
  • reread
  • look at the pictures
I can say the word but I don't know what it means...
  • look at a glossary
  • read to the end of the sentence
  • look at the pictures
  • ask someone who might know about the topic
Ebony says: You are getting good at stopping to clarify a word when we read in a group. As you try to solve these new words independently always make sure you check that your understanding is correct with an expert.
